great lengths

i am absolutely smitten that maxi skirts and dresses are some of key pieces for fall. i especially like that the boho/peasant skirt look isn't the prevailing look for this trend. i love solid basic colors used and seeing them paired with chunky wedges and hard jewelry etc. don't get me wrong, i love the boho look, but motorcycle rebel badass is more my style.

these pants! they're Balenciaga and they are to die for. i saw this picture around when another mag came out with it in spring 2007 and i'm still drooling...

just getting a bit nerdy with some true blood. Some of the last images in there is the inspiration board for the making of the title sequence, which is still one of my favorite parts of the show. and as always,

it's been a long time since i posted some music on here so i thought i'd give it a whirl again. basically these are some of my favorite songs that have been playing on a loop for me this summer. I didn't really put them in any particular order, which might be a problem, but hey whatever man. as always, right click and save as to have as your very own.

I love the styling and the look Catherine McNeil has going here. I like the interpretation of the 50s trend for fall into more of a greaser, or should I say Rizzo, look rather than a, let's say, Sandy or Mad Men-esq look that I have been seeing in other editorials. I especially love the "new age" T-Bird boys with all the tattoos, and how they are actual everyday looking guys, not pretty Ash Stimest/Cole Mohr male model types (not that there is anything wrong with those boys, god knows I love them to death).
