mogen muerte.

a couple weeks back i did a photoshoot with my friend & lovely model over at lulus.com, mogen. we were quite hungover from the drinking festivities of the night before, i know there was some major persuasion on my part to do the shoot, but it turned out fabulous.

I have been lagging on updating my blogger, and I have quite a few inspiration posts lined up that i need to just get done. so consider this an apology post, and enjoy loves.

earth angel, earth angel.

Mix one part retro-glamour, one part Christian Dior, and add in a blinding white desert-like background and you get Harper's Bazaar Arabia's October 2010 editorial, Earth Angel. 

That first shot up there is what really took my breathe away. Raspberry lips, with  a hint of freckles on skin almost as porcelain white as the background and that perfectly coiffed bleach blonde hair. The model just makes it for me.

two toned

I have been growing out my hair for awhile...letting all the years of dye grow out. but this week, i just became plain sick of my natural color. so ashy and mousy. thus the search started for my hair inspiration. I didn't want to just die it a dark brown anymore, and blonde seemed a little too highschool for me. that is when i found pictures of the lovely Lily Aldridge, and i was hooked.

i love her two toned hair and how it goes from dark to streaks of blonde. so beautiful! another inspiration was rumi neely via fashiontoast.

so today i finally did the deed and started on my first dye toward this look. because i still had dye at my tips, i did i coppery brown-blonde first and will go lighter later. here are the before and after results:

a little subtle but it will get better once i dye it again. <3

great lengths

i am absolutely smitten that maxi skirts and dresses are some of key pieces for fall. i especially like that the boho/peasant skirt look isn't the prevailing look for this trend. i love solid basic colors used and seeing them paired with chunky wedges and hard jewelry etc. don't get me wrong, i love the boho look, but motorcycle rebel badass is more my style.
