street lust: s/s 2012.

as the shows have been pouring out from the S/S 2012 fashion weeks, i've also been keeping my eye on the street styles. i feel like i'm channeling bill cunningham, but i'm more obsessed with street style this season than i am the actual shows. it's an odd and peculiar feeling for me, but i am just going to let it happen. i'm going to allow myself to take this tangent and fully immerse myself in street style. so welcome- and come along on my journey into my first segment of street lust.

summer rant.

i've been craving cooler weather for about a month now, just waiting for the day where it's chilly enough for me to wear layers. and fashion. i'm sorry but i don't consider sun dresses and sandals fashion. nor do i think that a pair of cut off shorts with a tank and a bandeau bra is inspiring. i need to see innovation, i need to feel it- and i can't feel it when it's pushing 100 degrees and these shitty clothes are all i can wear. i will leave you with this wisdom from Nylon Magazine, 2003:

So I have been on a little hiatus from blogger, mostly from being obsessed with my tumblr. But I am back to show you a collaboration I did with the fabulous and spectacular designer Siobhan Barrett. I came up with a design for a knit maxi, and Siobhan made it come to life with her mad skills. Then I photographed it with my friend and first time model Sondra.
